Chromosome Symposium

Below are presentations on disorders caused by a major change in a chromosome.    Genetic disorders often involve mutations in a single gene locus, but chromosomal disorders may occur when there are major deletions or additions to a chromosome, duplications of chromosomes (triploidy, for example), or translocations of one chromosome segment to another chromosome.
