Useful Links

You may have never had to ask for extra practice in the past, but sometimes it's necessary in chemistry.  Below is a selection of good websites with practice problems and other resources.  If you find a great website that you think other students would benefit from, send me an email with the link and I'll post it on this page!

Acid Naming Practice  Some of these may be based on polyatomic ions you're not familiar with, but you can just skip...or...you could look up the polyatomic ion!

Acid Naming Practice Hangman  Good way to review with hints!  Again, there might be some that you're unfamiliar with.  Just use them as an opportunity to learn!

Activity Series Demonstration  Need to make up the lab, or just want to practice using the activity series to predict single replacement labs?  Here's the site for you!

Balancing Practice  This website gives you the ability to tailor the difficulty level.  Gives instant feedback!  :)

Bonding Videos:  Molten Salt and Metallic Bonding

The ChemCollective  This website shows you how to do various chemistry problems!

Chemical vs. Physical Properties and Changes  A nice review and some practice problems at the bottom.  Thanks Jasmine!

Half-Life Practice  There are some extra-challenging questions using logs for which you will not be held responsible.

More Gas Law Practice: Includes Dalton's law and stoichiometry with gas laws)

More Equilibrium and LeChat's Principle  Nice animations of LeChat's principle!  Be patient, though, it takes time to respond to stress!

Lewis Structure Practice  Gives immediate feedback, but there are some difficult problems on this site at times!

Limiting Reactant Tutorial and Practice  A tutorial and problems with key

Molarity Tutorial  Nice video review of molarity problems!

Mole Video Crash Course video on the mole

Mole Conversion Practice  Practice converting moles, mass, molecules, and volume;  If we haven't talked about how volume relates to moles yet, skip those questions.

Naming Chemical Formulas  Pretty wide selection of ionic and molecular compounds!  Note, this is only formula to name.  If you want to practice the other direction, see next link.  There may be some polyatomic ions that you are unfamiliar with.  If so, simply skip them!

Nuclear Reading Assignment  Articles and videos about nuclear power and nuclear disasters.

Names to Formulas  Pretty wide selection of ionic and molecular compounds!  Note this is only name to formula.  If you want to practice the other direction, see previous link.   There may be some polyatomic ions that you are unfamiliar with.  If so, simply skip them!
